About me.

Armanda holds a Bachelor's degree in Communication and Rhetoric Studies and Studio Art and a Master’s in Art Therapy. With a background in teaching film photography and darkroom processing, Armanda discovered the transformative power of art-making and the role it plays in restoration, recreation, and self-discovery. Her artistic practice is deeply rooted in exploration, as she delves into themes of nostalgia, spatiality, and play through a bricolage approach using assemblage, collage, and photography. This led her to pursue a Master’s in Art Therapy, where she further honed her skills in engaging others in the creative process and fostering self-actualization and greater self-awareness.

With a person-centered approach, she values the importance of creating a safe and supportive space for clients to explore their inner selves through art-making. Her clinical training included working with educators in an international school setting and adolescent girls in a residential treatment center in Singapore, where she had the opportunity to witness firsthand the powerful impact of art therapy.

Armanda believes in the dynamic and active nature of healing and growth, and finds joy in holding space for clients. She remains curious about the in-between spaces where art therapy can provide healing and continues to draw inspiration and energy from play in the art therapy process.
